Siddy's Corner: June 2009 Mashup

Anyone get the number of that month that just flew by? Jeepers, June was a quick month!

Summer, along with sunburns, heat stroke, and an excuse to run around with not shirt on, gives us longer days. Longer days means more time to play games. And we can always use more games. Here's your June review, folks!

Siddy's Corner: May 2009 Mashup

As the days get longer, hotter, and everyone starts thinking just how to pull off wearing that tight swimsuit this year, it is important to note that your board games will never judge you. Even if you do look silly in that two-piece or Speedo. But before we get into the great debate of why you should NOT wear a Speedo unless you are competing for a gold medal, let's review May!

Siddy's Corner: April 2009 Mashup

Spring is here! The trees are beginning to leaf, flowers are popping out of the ground, and the birds are singing! So long, Winter! Hello, short sleeve shirts and sandals! But before we rejoice in earnest, let's review April, shall we?

Siddy's Corner: March 2009 Mashup

March is rolling out like a lion with snow and floods. Good thing we are gamers and like to stay inside where it is warm and dry! And what a time we had this month! Lots of activities and updates. Let's review, shall we?

Siddy's Corner: February 2009 Mashup

Time to sit down, catch our collective breath, and review the activities of the month. The weather outside is cold and icy, but that didn't stop RGC from going out, having fun, and playing games. Let's review...

RGC's First Quarter Games Day was a great success, both for RGC and the community. Not only did we have a chance to sit down and play a game or three, but we also collected canned goods for Channel One Food Shelf. Just one of the many ways RGC gives back our local community.

Siddy's Corner: Behold the "Awesome" that is First Quarter Games Day

The First Quarter Games Day for 2009 was a wonderful success. Lots of people playing and lots of games being played. The very definition of an "awesome games day".

For those of you who could join us, RGC hopes you had a great time. For those of you who did not, there is good news! This is a "quarterly" event, meaning it happens four times a year. Odds are your schedule will mesh with ours one of these days. When that day comes, I'll be the first to welcome you and play a game or two..possibly five.

Siddy's Corner: Fun in February! (updated)

Despite the cold and snow, we are bound and determined to go out and have a good time. And what better way to have some fun than to join friends and family in a board game or two?

RGC is sponsoring two events this month, in addition to the weekly game nights and lunch game breaks. All are welcome to attend and we at RGC look forward to seeing you there!

Siddy's Corner: Test Your Might

Supposedly, RGC is comprised of elite gamers with countless hours of dice chucking, card swapping, resource haggling, and kingdom conquering. I say "supposedly" because such a claim has never been tested.

Until now.

Each week, as of January 26th, I will post a new contest to test RGC's game trivia. I will keep score and post the results. A "leader's board" will also be created so as to highlight those who are "in the know".

Siddy's Corner: Fun for the Whole Family!

RGC will be hosting the very first Family Game day on January 24th.

The front page now has information on the event.
