The N00berlord, session 3

I am the N00berlord, and I freaking dominated them.
Ok, they entered the second level of their first dungeon tonight. I had 19 threat and 10 cards in my hand, so I was already drooling. The dungeon was number 39 -- there's a big boss uber beastman in a room who could only be wounded by a hero who had drank from a cursed fountain. I picked the build that gave me 4 skeletons and 2 master beastmen (remember master beastmen's Command power stacks). The heroes took their turn to set up behind the door where my minions were all waiting, so on my turn I spawned a dark priest and a master dark priest to help my homies, and moved the uber beastman up closer to the door. On their secon turn, the heroes opened the door then all took different Ready actions (Lunch and Aaron resting while Doug dodged and Mike -- in a moment of questionable strategy -- readied an attack).
I moved my master beastmen close enough so their command aura covered uber-beastie and had him step in, attack mike for massive damage (the guy did like minimum 9 damage with those 3 command auras) and stepped back to his hole.
On their third turn, the heroes rushed into the room, attacking with reckless abandon. And missing.
I can only assume the Benny Hill music was playing somewhere in the background. The heroes missed every attack they took (3 total) that round. They ended up surrounded by my beastmen, including the uber-boss, and well within range of every other minion on the board.
Then it was my turn. And I had a Rage card.
I killed two heroes that round: Lunch and Mike. Mike was wielding a cursed weapon so I got an extra conquest token for him. 6 conquest total.
The heroes that survived (TankDoug was down to 1 hp and Aaron was down to 6) were in a bit of a pickle. Aaron made a run for the signet so their dead friends could come back in the middle of the melee. I opened a pit on him for 4 damage (I had Trap Master out), he took a few more steps to attack and missed again, and when he took another step I dropped a block on his head to finish him off. 2 more conquest.
Doug then moved to the signet and opened it and attacked my master dark priest, doing 2 damage to him. Then Lunch came through with a battle action, targeted my dark priest, did 2 damage on the first attack and missed for lack of range on the second. Then Mike came through and finished off my dark priest with his cursed weapon (and killing my priest gave Mike another curse token). This left Mike almost completely surrounded and Doug (still with just 1 hp) pretty vulnerable while Lunch was tucked away in a corner but still reachable.
I killed Mike with I think 4 or 5 attacks (that's 5 conquest with the two curse tokens), killed doug with two (the first one missed) for 4 more conquest, and surrounded Lunch and took him out for 2 more conquest and a Total Party Kill!!!!
Thus, in about 5 or 6 turns and 2 hours of play, I generated 19 conquest tokens. The heroes killed exactly one minion, damaged zero, and didn't even get to open the treasure chest (I had a mimic card waiting for them anyway).
They decided not to return to the dungeon.
That ended our first game-week.
For the second game-week, I, sitting pretty at 33 conquest (compared to the heroes' 10), upgraded my Eldritch minions and moved my Lieutenant to the next town.
The heroes took a town action to buy some stuff. Nothing too exciting but Mike ditched his cursed bow for a similar one that isn't cursed and Bob got an extra point of armor.
So our next session will start week 3. I can't decide what to upgrade. Either another Lieutenant or that one upgrade that makes encounters more likely, now that I have silver-level Eldritch minions.
I felt a little bad about the heroes' phenomenally bad luck. They even discussed conceding the whole campaign if they can't get further in the next dungeon. Maybe I should start taking it a little easy on them. Hahahahahahahahahaha!
