About RGC

Mission Statement
Rochester Gamers Community (RGC) is a volunteer-based organization dedicated to nurturing a sense of community across all tabletop gaming boundaries, promoting the hobby of tabletop gaming in all aspects, and providing the tabletop gaming community with the best environment to present their games and find like-minded players.
Brief History
RGC was formed in spring of 2006 as an organization that would encompass all aspects of gaming. RGC formed a board of directors and the first steps were made for RGC to move from a small group of friends to a larger volunteer organization focused on gaming. Today, RGC thrives with new members joining all the time. RGC hosts quarterly community gaming events that attract 70+ attendees.
RGC's prime focus is being a focal point for the Rochester area gaming community. There are many game groups in Rochester and the surrounding area and many of these groups have members who participate in RGC. The benefit to being active in RGC is that when players are seeking a particular group to play a given game they are able to simply tap the resources of RGC and find those players. RGC looks to break down the silo barriers that a lot of gamers put themselves in and attempts to open communication between the various gaming groups in the area. RGC and its members are aided in this endeavor by the support of this website and the forums that are accessible from this site.
So, as the mission statement declares, if you like games of any sort and are tired of trying to find like-minded players then RGC is for you!
